

1. Where did you grow up and if not from NWA – what brought you here? I was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana where I lived until I was 12 when my mom relocated us to McKinney, Texas. I came to Fayetteville in 1999 for college. Pretty much a southern girl.
2. Spouse’s name and children's names? Eddie [editor: Eddie is former UofA Tennis standout and current NTRP rating of 5.5] is my super stud husband and we have 2 kiddos, Isabel 7 and Sophia 4 (going on 32). We like to say that our kids are "Mexi-Cajun".
3. Other than tennis what do you do for recreation, relaxation, hobbies: After work, kids and tennis there isn't too much extra time for anything else but I do enjoy photography, traveling, cooking, running and when I can stay awake long enough, reading.
4. What do you like most about your current job? What do you dislike? I work for single parent scholarship fund and what I like most is getting to know the recipients of our scholarships. These are some of the most driven and focused individuals in our community. Most have been through very difficult circumstances and are making huge sacrifices so that they can provide a better life for their families. Having been raised by a single mom I know that it is not easy.
5. What is your current NRTP ranking? Recently bumped to 3.5
6. How many years have you been playing tennis? Started playing about 4 years ago.
7. What prompted you to play tennis regularly? I guess you could say that I married into the sport.
8. What is your favorite thing or enjoyment about playing tennis? I enjoy the mental and physical challenge, The relationships I have made through tennis and that it is a life long sport. Tennis has brought out a competitiveness I never thought that I had.
9. What is your most memorable accomplishment playing tennis so far? Winning 6.0 mixed state last year was exciting.
10. Do you have a particular pet peeve that tennis opponents or players do that bother you? This answer changes as my level of play changes. As a 2.0 I got much more worked up about close line calls. Now I understand that they happen on both sides of the court. Nothing really bothers me too much. But I could be wrong. I should ask my partners..
11. Do you learn more from your wins or losses and why? When I look back on wins and losses the outcome usually reflects my focus level and mental stare during the match, and that is what I try and learn from.
12. What is your favorite NWA restaurant and why? There is nothing better than heading over to LaHa after a big team win for chips and margaritas.
13. If you could have dinner with a famous person - dead or alive - who would it be and why? Charlie Sheen, I want to know if I can be one of his goddesses.
